This Saturday evening we’ll be taking the Lord’s Supper together. As we get ready to share the bread and the cup together it would be good to meditate on what has to happen for those elements to exist. Wheat has to be crushed to make bread. Grapes have to be squashed for the cup to be filled. Thankfully, Jesus was willing to endure that for us so that our sin could be wiped away forever. We don’t have to work to be forgiven for our sins. That is a gift Jesus gave us. But maybe He is challenging you to let your dreams be crushed so that you can serve someone else. Maybe he’s asking you to willingly let your feelings be squashed so that someone else could feel loved.
